Dr Tamara Jones-Hood is the only director in the Riverina with a PhD in Education and has 30 years experience in teaching in the primary, secondary and tertiary contexts and in academic research (Australian and international). Tamara began to tutor students in 1994 as an HSC High Achiever and Arts/Law undergraduate and found she enjoyed teaching so much she changed degrees to focus on Education. This passion and extensive teaching experience allows her to comprehensively guide her staff as they provide learning support for our many students. All of our tutors are tertiary qualified teachers currently working in government and non-government schools who have thorough reference and background checks before joining the ACHIEVE team.
OUR LEARNING PHILOSOPHY
ACHIEVE takes an innovative and individualised approach to the support of our students’ learning. We develop a program and curriculum for each student and create individualised learning resources - they do not have to fit in with a predesigned (and often unsuitable) curriculum. All team members at ACHIEVE are focused on providing the highest quality tuition as we use a student-centred learning philosophy which fosters the overall intellectual and emotional growth of each individual.
We have been trusted to tutor students in the Riverina, Canberra, Sydney, Goulburn, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne and across NSW for over 25 years and have a well-established reputation for high quality, personalised tuition that addresses the individual needs of each student. The tertiary qualified teachers at Achieve take an innovative, nurturing and individual approach to the development of our students’ learning. The qualified educators at Achieve are all specialists in the subjects they teach (not university undergraduates but actual teachers and specialists in their fields), have current Working with Children clearance and have had thorough background and reference checks prior to joining the Achieve team. Working under the guidance of Dr Tamara Jones-Hood, the teachers are able to use high quality teaching and learning strategies that are differentiated to meet each student's individual needs.

tUITION SESSIONS
We ensure that each student receives individualised attention from the highly qualified teachers with smallest teacher student ratios offered in the Riverina, conducive to quality learning gains. Students at Achieve enjoy a 2:1 student teacher ratio and are treated as individual learners who enjoy a program designed specifically for their learning needs. This ensures that students are able to maximise their learning through individual attention and support rather than collective instruction that does not always allow students to enjoy positive learning gains.
Our learning programs are designed by qualified teachers who are able to help our students consolidate their content knowledge and skills across the curriculum but also develop exam skills, study skills, research skills and time and task management skills while fostering the holistic development of each student.
The teachers at ACHIEVE have extensive teaching experience which has provided us with a solid foundation on which to develop a unique and comprehensive educational service that complements and supports the critical learning occurring within the primary, secondary and tertiary environments. HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS
We also deliver a number of subject-specific workshops and intensive sessions for our students during the holiday break and the early weeks of the term which allow our 'Achievers' to consolidate their understanding across their different subjects and prepare for their exams.
